Products We Recommend for Rabbits

Below are products that we use regularly when taking care of the animals on our farm. We do not have the space or ability at this time to have stock on hand. Please feel free to use the links provided to purchase products we have tested and recommend. Some of the provided links are affiliate links, and will provide commission based on purchases made.

Rabbit Hutches

We have tried a few different types of hutches, and the Aivituvin brand have checked all the boxes for our little furry friends. They offer plenty of space for them to move around, as well as allow access for easy cleaning.

Food

Rabbits eat at least their body size worth of hay everyday. Adult rabbits need Timothy Hay or Orchard Grass, or a combination of both. Young rabbits need Alfalfa Hay. Hay and fresh water should always be plentiful. They also need pellets. Find a rabbit food that doesn’t have added sugars like molasses. Adult rabbits need about a 1/4 cup of pellets a day, but young rabbits can eat as much as they want, as long as they are still eating their hay!

Green Eggs and Honey buys the feed for our animals from a local distributor of New Country Organics. The Fancy Chicken Farm Company is located in Independence, Kentucky and offers high quality feed, treats and supplies for chickens, rabbits, and other farm animals. If you would like to support other small local business, please visit their website in the link below.

Rabbit Care

You will need these items when taking care of your rabbit:

Litter box, litter, waterer, food dish for pellets, and a hay feeder

We have provided some links for products on Amazon that we have used. Please feel free to shop around and purchase what will work for you and your rabbit.

We prefer water dishes versus water bottles becuase of the tendency for the bottles to leak.
